What is MicroNeedling and why are Stem Cell Serums needed?

You age, visibly and invisibly, every day. Sun damage, internal inflammation, chemicals, and even gravity, all work against the youthful vitality of your skin. As we get older, our ability to repair this constant damage is dramatically diminished. Since fewer regenerative stem cells survive to carry on the work, slower, less robust healing and greater levels of inflammation are inevitable.

ProCell Therapies incorporates precision micro-tips that are tapped into the skin creating uniform micro-channels that stimulate cells known as keratinocytes. ProCell serums are applied during treatment and used as aftercare during the healing process. The serums penetrate the channels created by Microneedling.

A single pass over the face will create hundreds of thousands of micro-channels. Each micro-channel is surrounded by healthy tissue, and in response to each micro-injury, an inflammatory healing process begins. This process releases growth factors that increase production and formation of collagen and elastin.

The pictures below reflect ProCell microchannels (on the left), with one pass, compared to less refined and less thorough channels created by other systems.

Growth factors found in skin care products can come from a variety of sources, including plants, adipose (fat) tissue, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and even snails! Human stem cells contain a high concentration of natural growth factors and cytokines. These growth factors support cellular renewal and have potent regenerating properties to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and tone. This in turn stimulates the release of epidermal growth factors without damaging the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles diminish over time, and skin looks and feels brighter, more luminous, and healthy. Perfect for wrinkles around the eyes, around the lips, and for acne scarring (see photo above). The union of MicroNeedling and the use of cutting edge growth factor serums dramatically improves the appearance of skin to a degree previously attainable only through more aggressive and expensive procedures.

Over time, the repeated healing process with each treatment, will continue to build new collagen. This creates smoother and healthier skin, improving the surface texture and the overall appearance. With changes occurring at the cellular level of growth, clients will see continued improvement with each micro-channeling session they undergo. In addition to improvements to facial skin, such as diminishment of acne scars, skin tightening and lessening of lines and wrinkles (like around the mouth and eyes), improvement can also occur with hyperpigmentation, rosacea, as well as reducing the appearance of cellulite, and stretch marks.

Micro-Needling has been shown to be safe to use on all Fitzpatrick skin types, from fair to dark in color.

While many people are great candidates for ProCell micro-channeling, there are certain circumstances where other treatment options should be explored. This includes immuno-compromised patients, like those undergoing chemotherapy. Pregnant women are also not suitable candidates for collagen induction therapy. Other variables include the avoidance of open or infected skin (like lesions and pustules), and same-day retinoid therapy.

The ProCell Difference – Alternative Comparison with lesser quality hand piece

  • Extremely shortened down time – typically 60-90 minutes
  • Linear stamping technique results in substantially decreased discomfort for clients
  • Procedure times cut in half with variety of tip sizes for different size areas
  • Stem Cell Growth factor serums improve healing to yield previously unattainable results

ProCell is continuously evolving as the predominant device in craftsmanship and quality. ProCell has never taken shortcuts, or the low-cost, poor quality options for which many other device companies have opted. American created and made. As a result, ProCell has garnered a reputation as the gold standard of micro-channeling, having been awarded the Aestheticians’ Choice Award for best micro-channeling device.

ProCell Expert Testimonials

Microchanneling with ProCell is easy to perform and proven safe for all skin types any time of the year. Today’s busy patients are looking for solutions that don’t require long recovery periods. ProCell’s Microchanneling is a simple and elegant treatment that offers big results without any significant downtime or recovery period.
Leonard Miller, MD, one of the first medical professionals to bring micro-needling in the United States explains why he prefers ProCell to other available micro-needling devices. “ProCell’s microchannelling system is unique as it creates clean channels in the skin as compared to traditional rollers and pen-based systems that can create tears and surface scratches. Treatments are fast and efficient.” “ProCell’s microchannelling system is a great addition to any plastic surgery practice. Whether it is part of a skincare plan or in combination with a surgical procedure, it is a great package to expand your service offering to your patients”
Over the years, I had become frustrated with the low quality and poor design of all of the available microneedling devices. Working with an expert machinist, we built a combination microdermabrasion and microchanneling system that is far superior to anything on the market. Here are some of the salient features that the ProCell system provides:
*High power Swiss motor that enables us to drive larger-sized needle arrays and paddle-style tips resulting in much faster treatment times.
*Our fixed needle arrays are designed to ensure clean skin channels at consistent depths with each stroke.
*The unique “tapping motion method” we recommend virtually eliminates any of the “cat-scratch” effects seen with the other micro-pens on the market.
*The single-use needle arrays are designed so there is no possible way to get cross-contamination. *The unique handgrip shape fits ergonomically in the hand, resulting in reduced operator fatigue even during extended treatment times.
